The body of the instrument is made of ash and has a gloss polyurethane finish. Designed for comfort, the asymmetrical "C" profile of maple neck is slightly thicker on the bass side for easy gripping while performing fret hand gymnastics. The hand-rubbed oil finish on the back of the neck provides a fast, smooth playing feel with effortless position changes while Posiflex graphite support rods add stability to the neck while resisting temperature- and humidity-induced warping. The neck is fitted with a 9.5"-14" compound radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets and aged white dot inlays. Width of the bone nut fret is 41.3 mm. The bass guitar is equipped with two Dimension Bass humbucking pickups that are loaded with powerful, responsive tone and responsive dynamics that respond to every nuance of playing. They are fuelled by a robust 18-volt preamp with three-band EQ to cut through a mix with even more chest-thumping tone and plenty of bite. Sound can be further adjusted by Master Volume and Treble/Bass/Mid Boost/Cut controls. The HiMass bridge with chrome-plated brass saddles increases note attack and resonance for thunderous bass lines with mammoth punch and near-endless sustain. In a vintage-inspired touch, the truss rod adjustment wheel has been moved to the butt end of the neck for easier access, making neck relief adjustments a snap. The bass guitar further features nickel/chrome hardware including knurled flat-top control knobs and Fender "F" tuning machines with light-weight vintage-paddle keys and tapered shafts, a 3-ply black pickguard and Fender USA Bass 7250M NPS strings (gauges: .045-.105).
