Živé kvety was a Slovak rock band formed in Bratislava in 1994 by Lucia Piussi, Peter Bálik, and Veronika Wiedermannová. Closely connected to the underground Stoka Theatre, the group became notable for combining poetic lyrics and expressive performances, largely shaped by Piussi’s songwriting and vocals. Between 2000 and 2020, Živé kvety released twelve albums, mostly on Slnko Records, and issued two live recordings, including the album Perute with a book of interviews. Their songs and energy made them popular on the Slovak and Czech live scene, where they played over 500 concerts, and even performed in New York. The band disbanded in 2020 after 27 years, with members moving on to new projects, including Terrible 2s, founded by Piussi and Agnes Lovecká, and Bálik continuing in other groups.
