Yundi Li (李云迪), born October 7, 1982, is a renowned Chinese classical pianist celebrated for his masterful interpretations of Chopin, as well as the works of Liszt and Prokofiev. He gained international recognition in 2000 when he became the youngest winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition at age eighteen. Yundi later made history as the youngest juror of the same competition in 2015. Honored by the Polish government with awards including the world’s first Chopin passport and both Silver and Gold Medals for Merit to Culture, Yundi has also played an important role in promoting Chinese music worldwide and advancing classical music in China.
