Yamaha TIO1608-D2 Stagebox
The Yamaha TIO1608-D2 is a Dante-based digital stage box designed to work with Yamaha TF-series digital mixing consoles over a standard Ethernet cable. It places 16 microphone/line inputs and 8 line outputs directly at the stage while the mixing console remains at the front-of-house position, eliminating the need for a traditional multicore snake.
Inputs and Connectivity
Sixteen XLR/TRS combination inputs accept microphone and line-level signals from instruments, vocal performers, or stage equipment. Audio is transmitted over the Dante network via RJ-45, supporting sampling frequencies of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, and 96 kHz. Frequency response is rated at +0.5/–1.5 dB across 20 Hz – 20,000 Hz. Primary and secondary Dante network ports support redundant cabling for fail-safe operation.
Form Factor and Deployment
The TIO1608-D2 occupies 2U of rack space in a standard 19-inch enclosure and weighs 5.7 kg, making it light enough for stage deployment on touring rigs. Its robust construction and rack-mount form factor suit both permanent installation and repeated road use. Dimensions: 480 × 88 × 364 mm.
