Whodini is a pioneering American hip-hop group from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 1982. Featuring Jalil Hutchins, John "Ecstasy" Fletcher, and DJ Grandmaster Dee, the trio gained fame for blending rap with R and B influences, helping shape the sound of new jack swing. Known for hits like "Magic's Wand," "Friends," and "Freaks Come Out at Night," Whodini brought energy and innovation to early hip-hop, including some of the first rap music videos and concerts featuring breakdancers. Managed by Russell Simmons during their peak, they released six studio albums, achieved multiple Platinum records, and had numerous singles chart on Billboard.
