WALK THE MOON is an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 2006 by lead singer Nicholas Petricca while he was at Kenyon College. Named after a song by The Police, the band is best known for the hit "Shut Up and Dance." Other popular tracks include "Anna Sun" and "One Foot." Drawing influence from Talking Heads, WALK THE MOON features energetic melodies with strong use of 1980s-inspired keyboards and synthesizers.
