UB40 is a reggae band from Birmingham, England, formed in December 1978. Known for their diverse line-up and unique sound, they achieved international fame with hits like Food for Thought, Red Red Wine, and Can't Help Falling in Love. UB40 topped charts in both the UK and US, with their albums Labour of Love and Promises and Lies reaching number one in the UK. Over their career, they have released more than 50 UK hit singles and sold over 70 million records worldwide. The band has received several award nominations, including multiple Grammy nods for Best Reggae Album and a Brit Award nomination for Best British Group. Despite lineup changes, UB40 has remained a prominent name in reggae, with Matt Doyle joining as lead vocalist in 2021.
