Trixie Mattel, born Brian Michael Firkus in 1989, is an American drag queen, singer-songwriter, television personality, and entrepreneur from Wisconsin. Known for her bold, Barbie-inspired drag and distinctive sixties-influenced style, Trixie blends sharp humor with acoustic pop, folk, and country in her music. She plays guitar and autoharp, and her albums, including Two Birds, One Stone, Barbara, and The Blonde and Pink Albums, have charted on Billboard and explored genres from folk to power pop.
After first appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2015 and later winning RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars in 2018, Trixie gained further fame co-hosting the comedy duo Trixie and Katya with Katya Zamolodchikova. Together, they star in the hit web series UNHhhh and I Like to Watch and co-host the podcast The Bald and the Beautiful.
Trixie is also a cosmetics entrepreneur, having launched Trixie Cosmetics in 2019, and starred in the docuseries Trixie Motel about creating her own Palm Springs resort. She is a New York Times bestselling author and has been recognized among America’s most influential drag queens.
