Tom Morello is an American guitarist, songwriter, singer, and political activist, best known for his work with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Recognized for his innovative guitar techniques and inventive use of effects, Morello has played a key role in shaping modern rock music. He has also performed with Prophets of Rage, worked as a touring member of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and released solo music as the Nightwatchman. A Harvard graduate with a deep interest in both music and social justice, Morello is co-founder of Axis of Justice and has been a consistent advocate for political change. In 2023, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Rage Against the Machine.
