Toby Keith

Toby Keith (July 8, 1961 – February 5, 2024) was an influential American country music singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and businessman. Rising to fame in the early 1990s, he scored his first hit with the single Should've Been a Cowboy in 1993. Known for his powerful voice and strong songwriting, Keith released numerous successful albums and singles, including How Do You Like Me Now, Beer for My Horses, and As Good as I Once Was. Over his career, he released 19 studio albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide, with 20 songs reaching number one on the country charts. He founded the Show Dog Nashville label in 2005 and appeared in films such as Broken Bridges and Beer for My Horses. Keith earned several Grammy nominations and received the National Medal of Arts in 2021. He passed away in 2024 after battling stomach cancer and was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame the same year.
