The Neighbourhood, also known as the nbhd, is an American alternative rock band formed in 2011 in Newbury Park, California. The group's lineup includes vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, and bassist Mikey Margott, with Brandon Fried having served as drummer from 2014 to 2022.
They rose to fame with their debut album I Love You in 2013, featuring the hit single "Sweater Weather," which became a chart success and experienced a resurgence years later. The band is also known for popular tracks like "Daddy Issues," "Softcore," "You Get Me So High," "Reflections," and "The Beach."
Over the years, The Neighbourhood released several albums and EPs, including Wiped Out in 2015 and their self-titled album in 2018. In 2022, the band announced a hiatus. Lead singer Jesse Rutherford has pursued a solo career since 2016 and signed with Atlantic Records in 2023.
