The Head and the Heart is an American indie folk band that started in 2009, known for blending warm harmonies with the energy of folk-rock. Founded by Josiah Johnson and Jonathan Russell, the group now features Jonathan Russell, Charity Rose Thielen, Chris Zasche, Kenny Hensley, Tyler Williams, and Matt Gervais. Signed to Verve Records, they have released six albums, including their latest, Aperture, which came out in May 2025.
