The Grass Roots are an American rock band known for their series of chart hits between 1965 and 1975. Created by Lou Adler along with songwriters P. F. Sloan and Steve Barri, the band is recognized for its catchy tunes and strong presence on radio. Over their career, The Grass Roots scored 21 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including multiple Top 10 hits, and earned two gold albums and two gold singles. Their timeless songs have led to over 20 million records sold worldwide. After founding member Rob Grill kept the band's legacy alive with continual touring until 2011, the group has continued performing live across the country with a lineup selected by Grill.
