The Cats were a Dutch rock band from Volendam, active mainly between 1964 and 1985. They achieved major success from 1968 to 1975, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Their biggest hit was "One Way Wind," released in 38 countries, hitting number one in Switzerland and selling over a million copies in Germany. The band’s key members included Arnold Muhren, who wrote many of their songs, as well as Cees Veerman, Piet Veerman, Theo Klouwer, Jaap Schilder, and Piet Keizer. Known for their melodic style, The Cats left a lasting impact on Dutch pop music.
