Taking Back Sunday is a rock band from Amityville, New York, formed in 1999 by Eddie Reyes and Jesse Lacey. The group became a major force in the early 2000s emo scene, known for energetic live shows and emotionally charged lyrics. Key members include Adam Lazzara on vocals, John Nolan on guitar and keyboards, and Shaun Cooper on bass, with Nathan Cogan joining for live performances. The band gained widespread recognition with their album Louder Now in 2006, featuring the hit single MakeDamnSure. Over the years, Taking Back Sunday experienced several lineup changes and notable rivalries, most famously with Brand New. After reuniting their classic lineup in 2010, the band continued to release new music, including their eighth studio album 152 in 2023.
