SX SBF15 is a full-size 5-string J-bass designed for players who want classic style, flexible tone, and dependable playability in one instrument. Finished in a polished natural look, this model highlights its lightweight USA swamp ash body and is paired with a mint green 3-ply pickguard for a fresh vintage-inspired appearance.

The bolt-on neck is made from Canadian hard maple and shaped into a comfortable C profile, making it easy to navigate for beginners while still offering a familiar feel for more experienced bassists. Its rosewood fingerboard features 20 medium frets, dot inlays, a 12-inch radius, and a 45 mm synthetic bone nut, delivering a smooth and balanced playing experience across the full 864 mm scale length.

This 5-string bass uses a JJ pickup configuration with Alnico 5 single-coils, giving it the articulate attack and punch expected from a J-style instrument. The active/passive design, controlled by a mini toggle switch, adds extra versatility. In active mode, the onboard preamp expands your tonal range with controls for master volume, blend, bass, and treble, while passive mode keeps the sound direct and traditional. Powered by a 9V battery, it is ready for practice, rehearsal, or stage use.

Hardware is built for reliability, including a 5-saddle vintage-style bridge, standard open-gear tuning machines, and chrome/nickel appointments. Nickel plated steel strings in .045–.130 gauge provide a solid feel and clear response, while the satin neck finish helps the hand move comfortably along the neck.
