Steinberger XT-2 Standard is a 4-string electric bass from the Spirit Collection, proudly introduced as the Ultimate Travel Bass™. With its revolutionary headless body design, patented DoubleBall™ bass bridge, 40:1 ratio Direct-Pull tuning system, powerful Steinberger HB pickups, and included deluxe padded gigbag, the XT-2 is perfect for modern, on-the-go musicians.

Revolutionary Design
With a total length of only 38.5” (97.8 cm) and a weight of just 7.5 lbs (3.4 kg), the XT-2 fits easily into overhead compartments and is ideal for travel. Its basswood body and 3-piece Hard Maple neck resonate like a single piece of wood. The comfortable 1960s SlimTaper™ D neck profile features 24 medium-jumbo frets, a 34” scale length, and a 14” fingerboard radius. Thanks to its headless construction, the XT-2 is less sensitive to temperature changes and offers exceptional tuning stability.

Bridge and Tuning System
The Patented DoubleBall™ Bass Bridge with steel saddles and Direct-Pull tuning system (40:1 ratio) provides smooth tuning, outstanding sustain, and fast string changes. The bass comes equipped with Steinberger DoubleBall™ strings (45-65-85-105) and supports standard strings via the included Single Ball String Adapter.

Electronics and Sound
The XT-2 features Steinberger HB-2 (neck) and HB-1 (bridge) humbucker pickups. Control layout includes Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, and Master Tone, all with signature black Steinberger knobs. Output is via a premium 1/4” barrel-style jack.

Hardware and Finish
Includes a foldable leg rest for seated playing and a deluxe padded gigbag. Colour Hot Rod Yellow finishes.
