Sonata Arctica is a power metal band from Kemi, Finland. Originally formed as a hard rock group called Tricky Beans, the band transitioned to power metal and adopted their current name. The lineup features Tony Kakko on vocals, Tommy Portimo on drums, Henrik Klingenberg on keyboards, Elias Viljanen on guitar, and Pasi Kauppinen on bass. Known for their melodic style and dynamic performances, Sonata Arctica has released eleven studio albums, with their latest, Clear Cold Beyond, arriving in 2024.
