Scorpions are a legendary German hard rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Known for their energetic sound and memorable melodies, the band rose to international fame in the late 1970s and 1980s. Their most iconic lineup included Schenker, vocalist Klaus Meine, lead guitarist Matthias Jabs, bassist Francis Buchholz, and drummer Herman Rarebell. Over the years, the lineup evolved to include bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee.
Scorpions released their debut album Lonesome Crow in 1972 and went on to produce a string of acclaimed albums, including Lovedrive, Animal Magnetism, Blackout, Love at First Sting, and Crazy World. They are best known for classic hits such as Wind of Change, a global anthem inspired by the political changes in Europe, as well as Rock You Like a Hurricane and Still Loving You. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, Scorpions remain one of the best-selling and most influential bands in rock and heavy metal. Their latest studio album, Rock Believer, was released in 2022.
