"After spending the last 15 years tuning my ears with high-end, high-gain amps, I wanted a plugin that would allow me to sit in front of my studio monitors and feel the amp snarl the same way my stereo rig does. While there are great products out there, all I’ve been able to get from available amp sims is the sound of a cab mic’d in another room being re-replicated through my speakers. I wanted to get closer, to transform my monitors into the speaker cab itself, as if sitting directly in front of a cranked rig. Born from a relentless pursuit of unique, growling tones and a passion for different distortion characteristics, I wanted something that would inspire, react, and saturate like the hand-wired tube amps I own, with oversized transformers.
