Major Lazer is an American electronic dance music trio made up of Diplo, Walshy Fire, and Ape Drums. The group was formed in 2008 by Diplo and Switch, with Switch later replaced by Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, and Ape Drums joining in 2019. Known for blending reggae, dancehall, EDM, reggaeton, and house influences, Major Lazer has released four albums including Guns Don't Kill People Lazers Do and Music Is the Weapon. Their tracks often feature prominent guest artists such as Pharrell Williams, Sean Paul, Camila Cabello, and Travis Scott. Major Lazer also produced Snoop Dogg's reggae project Reincarnated and has earned recognition as one of the top dance acts in the world.
