Magna Carta was a folk rock band formed in London in 1969. Their self-titled debut album was produced by Gus Dudgeon, known for his work with Elton John and David Bowie, and arranged by Tony Visconti. Praised by Bowie as one of the most beautiful records he had heard, the group signed with Mercury Records and later Vertigo, finding international success with their album Seasons and building a lasting career through the 1970s and 1980s.
