The SR18S is an 18" subwoofer with a 1600W Class-D amplifier that produces Deep, defined, knee-buckling lows at up to 133 dB SPL. Equipped with custom voicing presets, the SR18S can be set to natural, deep, or punch, depending on the application. This make the SR18S an extremely versitile addition to your SR System and it increases the efficiency of the top-boxes.
With a 1600W amplifier and a 133 dB SPL rating, Mackie engineers realized the need for integrated processor-controlled system protection. The amplifier is protected in real time and rather than squashing everything between 33 and 120Hz, the SR18S dynamically applies multi-band compression to the problem frequencies instead of lowering the overall output. This approach keeps your overall levels consistent and maintains sound quality while still protecting your system components.
SR18S has a variable crossover to optimize for your other system components and can be used in a sngle or dual configuration thanks to stereo and mono summing options. I/O is also well accounted for with stereo XLR inputs, stereo full-range, and stereo high-pass outputs depending on your needs. Plus, there's an integrated pole cup for top-boxes.
