Lucy Elizabeth Dacus is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer from Richmond, Virginia. She rose to prominence with her debut album No Burden in 2016, which led to a deal with Matador Records. Her subsequent albums Historian, Home Video, and Forever is a Feeling have all received widespread acclaim. Dacus is also a member of Boygenius alongside Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers. With Boygenius, she has won three Grammy Awards and made history as part of the first all-female band to win Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. In 2023, Rolling Stone recognized her as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, noting the equal importance of her guitar and voice in her music.
