Lucila Justina Sarsines Reyes (1936–1973) was a celebrated Peruvian singer and a leading figure in Afro-Peruvian music. Revered for her powerful voice and national pride, she became a cultural icon and a source of inspiration for Peruvians at home and abroad. Known as "La Morena de Oro del Perú" and "La Reina de la Popularidad," her music is recognized as some of the finest in Peru’s musical history.
