Level 42 is an English jazz-funk band formed on the Isle of Wight in 1979. Best known for their lively bass-driven sound, they achieved major success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like "Lessons in Love" and "Something About You". Their music enjoyed chart success both in the UK and internationally, especially in the United States. After a period of lineup changes and a brief split in the 1990s, the band reunited in 2001 and continues to perform.
