La Bouche is a German-American Eurodance duo formed in 1994 by producer Frank Farian in Frankfurt am Main. The group became famous for dance hits like Be My Lover and Sweet Dreams, with American singer Melanie Thornton and rapper Lane McCray as its original faces. After Thornton’s departure in 2000 for a solo career and her tragic passing in 2001, McCray continued to perform under the La Bouche name. In 2015, Hungarian singer Sophie Cairo joined as the new lead vocalist. La Bouche is celebrated for their catchy anthems and lasting influence on 90s dance music.
