Kaiser Chiefs are an English indie rock band from Leeds, originally formed in 1996 under the name Runston Parva. After a brief period as Parva, they adopted the Kaiser Chiefs name in 2003 and established their current lineup with Ricky Wilson on vocals, Andrew White on guitar, Simon Rix on bass, Nick Baines on keyboards, and Vijay Mistry on drums, who joined in 2013. Drawing inspiration from late seventies and eighties new wave and punk rock, Kaiser Chiefs have released eight studio albums, including the multi-platinum Employment and the chart-topping Yours Truly, Angry Mob, which features their number one single "Ruby." Known for energetic anthems like "I Predict a Riot" and "Oh My God," the band has earned multiple Brit Awards and achieved significant chart success in the UK, becoming one of the most recognizable names from the British indie rock scene of the 2000s.
