House of Pain was an American hip hop trio formed in the early 1990s by Everlast, Danny Boy, and DJ Lethal. They are best known for their energetic anthem Jump Around, a major hit in 1992. The group released three albums before disbanding in 1996. After the split, Everlast found success as both a solo artist and a member of La Coka Nostra alongside DJ Lethal, who also achieved fame with Limp Bizkit. House of Pain briefly reunited in 2010 for a world tour. Their name was inspired by the H G Wells novel The Island of Dr Moreau, with the reference also picked up from an Oingo Boingo song.
