Harish Raghavan is an Indian American jazz bassist known for blending elements of Indian classical music with jazz. After starting with the mridangam, he switched to upright bass at 16 and later studied at the University of Southern California with noted mentors. He gained early recognition as a semi-finalist in the Thelonious Monk Institute's International Jazz Bass Competition in 2009. Following years as a sought-after collaborator, he released his debut album, Calls for Action, in 2019, and has worked with leading jazz artists including on Joel Ross's KingMaker project.
