Glen Hansard is an Irish singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the frontman of The Frames since 1990 and as one half of the folk-rock duo The Swell Season. He has released several acclaimed albums, including his solo debut Rhythm and Repose and the Grammy-nominated Didn't He Ramble. In addition to his musical career, he is recognized for his roles in films such as The Commitments and Once, the latter earning him an Academy Award for Best Original Song with Markéta Irglová.
