Counting Crows is a rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, formed in 1991. The group features Adam Duritz on vocals, David Bryson on rhythm guitar, Jim Bogios on drums, Charlie Gillingham on keyboards, David Immerglück as a multi-instrumentalist, Millard Powers on bass, and Dan Vickrey on lead guitar. Former members include Steve Bowman, Ben Mize, and Matt Malley.
The band rose to fame with their debut album August and Everything After, highlighted by the hit single Mr. Jones. Their success continued with the chart-topping album Recovering the Satellites and a string of popular singles like Rain King, A Long December, Hanginaround, and a cover of Big Yellow Taxi. Known for their energetic live shows, Counting Crows have sold over 20 million albums worldwide and received multiple Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Recent releases include Somewhere Under Wonderland in 2014 and Butter Miracle, The Complete Sweets in 2025.
