Clipse is a celebrated American hip hop duo from Virginia Beach, Virginia, made up of brothers Gene Malice Thornton and Terrence Pusha T Thornton. Emerging in 1994, they became influential voices in Southern hip hop, known for their sharp lyricism centered around street life and the drug trade. Discovered by Pharrell Williams, who produced their early work, Clipse initially faced industry setbacks before breaking through with their acclaimed debut album Lord Willin in 2002. The duo continued to earn critical praise with albums Hell Hath No Fury and Til the Casket Drops, establishing a reputation for uncompromising storytelling and production. After pursuing solo careers following a hiatus in 2010, Clipse reunited in 2019 and released the widely acclaimed Let God Sort Em Out in 2025, collaborating once again with Pharrell Williams on production.
