Chase and Status are a London-based electronic music duo, formed in 2003 by Saul Milton and Will Kennard after meeting at university in Manchester. Known for their high-energy sound and innovative production, they have released seven studio albums and worked with artists like Rihanna, Plan B, and Stormzy. Their live shows feature drummer Andy Gangadeen. The group manages the MTA record label, and Will Kennard also founded the East London Arts and Music school. In 2024, Chase and Status achieved a UK number one single with "Backbone" featuring Stormzy and won their first Brit Award for Producer of the Year. Their album 2 Ruff, Vol. 1 produced multiple UK top 40 singles, further cementing their influence on the electronic music scene.
