They first performed together at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome on the eve of the 1990 FIFA World Cup final, an event watched by nearly 800 million viewers worldwide. Their debut concert recording became the best-selling classical album ever and led to a series of international performances, including appearances at the World Cup Finals in 1994, 1998, and 2002. Known for their powerful renditions of opera classics, Broadway tunes, and popular songs, signature pieces included Nessun dorma and O sole mio.
