The Boss DD-3T Digital Delay is the modernized reissue of the legendary DD-3, a pedalboard staple since 1986 and the successor to the DD-2, the world's first digital delay pedal from 1983. The DD-3T is the right choice for guitarists who want a workhorse delay with tap-tempo precision and the iconic BOSS sound.
Tap Tempo, Short Loop, and a Relocated Direct Out
What makes this pedal stand out is the onboard tap-tempo switch with three rhythmic subdivisions (quarter notes, dotted eighths, quarter-note triplets) accessible from the Mode knob. The Short Loop function—renamed from the original Hold feature—captures and continuously loops up to 800 ms of audio. The Direct Out jack has been relocated next to the main output for cleaner wet/dry cable routing.
Delay Time and Range — From Slapback to Ambient
Three delay ranges and a Time knob give players quick access to tight rockabilly slapback, classic rock lead tones, and chased-delay ambient textures.
