Chris Hein Winds Compact Crossgrade — Orchestral Woodwinds for Chris Hein Compact Owners

The Crossgrade to Chris Hein's Winds Compact is the streamlined version of the larger Winds Complete library, built for composers who already own Chris Hein Brass Compact or Strings Compact. It keeps the same 13 instruments — four flutes, three clarinets, three oboes, and three bassoons — on a single-page interface powered by the free Kontakt Player. Phase-aligned multisamples and dual convolution reverbs adapt the sound to any room, from close-mic intimacy to a full orchestral hall.

What Makes This Library Special

The Note Head Designer matches short articulations to every sustained note, so phrasing stays musical across long passages. A separate BODY IR engine shapes the instrument body independently from the room reverb, while true legato recordings and TouchOSC remote control bring expressive realism usually reserved for much larger libraries.

Who Should Buy the Crossgrade

This Crossgrade is the right choice for composers who already own Chris Hein Brass Compact or Strings Compact and want to complete their orchestral template. It suits film, TV, and game composers writing woodwind-led passages, plus arrangers who need realistic flutes, clarinets, oboes, and bassoons on demand. A modest 9.25 GB download and 4 GB of RAM keep the system requirements friendly for most modern studios.
