The UB-Xa is more than just a recreation of a classic synthesizer; it’s a modern powerhouse that combines vintage charm with contemporary features.

Legacy and Features:
- The UB-Xa embraces the legacy of the original OB-Xa synthesizer, which contributed to iconic hits in the 80s by artists like Rush’s Geddy Lee, The Police, Prince, Van Halen, and even the Terminator theme composed by Brad Fiedel.
- It retains the original OB-Xa’s growl and sizzle while adding modern features like velocity and after-touch sensitivity, 512 user program memories, and comprehensive MIDI implementation.
Sound Engine:

- Its VCOs and VCFs are heavily based on the original 3340 and 3320 chip designs, ensuring authentic sound.
- You can split the keyboard to layer two different sounds, allowing for massive riffs.
Keyboard and Controls:
- The synth comes with 61 full-sized, semi-weighted keys with polyphonic after-touch and velocity sensitivity.
- The 8-channel modulation matrix provides extreme flexibility for sound shaping.
- With 26 rotary controls and various other functions, you have direct control over VCOs, LFOs, ADSR generators, and VCAs.
User Program Memories:
- Save up to 512 user program settings, making it easy to recall your favorite tones.
- Assign them to pre-set recall switches for quick changes during performances.
Vintage Modes:
- The UB-Xa allows you to select from 8 synthesizer signatures, including OB-Xa, OB-8, and more.
