999 is an English punk rock band that formed in London in December 1976. The original lineup included Nick Cash on vocals and guitar, Guy Days on lead guitar, Jon Watson on bass, and Pablo LaBritain on drums. Although there were a few lineup changes over the years—most notably bassist Jon Watson leaving in 1985 and being replaced, with Arturo Bassick joining in 1991—the band’s core has remained largely intact.
Between 1978 and 2007, 999 released twelve studio albums and fourteen singles. Several singles, including the well-known track "Homicide," reached the UK charts, and two of their albums also charted in the United States thanks to the band's extensive US touring in the early 1980s. Known for their energetic live shows and enduring presence, 999 continue to perform and record, making them one of the longest-running bands to emerge from the original punk era.
