The SV255 are designed to meet the needs of professionals and the highest class of amateur musicians who demand an amplified violin sound for all musical styles. These new violins set a new standard for sound quality and player comfort. With a weight of only about 500 g, it is equal to a traditional acoustic violin. So a violinist can easily switch from current acoustics to our new SILENT Violin ™. Innovative dual amplification systems allow the musician to mix high-quality sharpened electric sound with rich acoustic. The external control box contains a powerful preamplifier, main output level control, treble and bass controls, as well as 6.3 jack and XLR balanced outputs. Both models are made from well-seasoned red maple, spruce top, and matching ebony tuning pegs and fingerboard.
In addition, the string, neck and tuning pegs are exactly the same as those used on acoustic violins. Precise construction and meticulous attention to every detail means complete satisfaction of the most critical players. The most common shoulder supports can be used. The 5-string model SV255 has a "C" string tuned large-scale below the "G" string (just like a viola), offering greater range, dynamic potential for jazz, pop and various other musical genres.
