Vance Joy, born James Gabriel Keogh on 1 December 1987, is an acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter and musician. Rising to fame with his 2013 hit "Riptide," Vance Joy quickly established himself as a leading figure in indie folk-pop. He released his debut EP God Loves You When You’re Dancing in 2013, followed by his first album Dream Your Life Away in 2014. He has since won Best Male Artist at the 2015 ARIA Music Awards and released the successful albums Nation of Two in 2018 and In Our Own Sweet Time in 2022. Before his music career, he also played Australian rules football.
