Spitfire Audio Afterglow is an exceptional electric guitar sample library crafted by Fred Poirier that captures the vintage tones of legendary guitars. This library features over 100 meticulously recorded samples, showcasing iconic guitar sounds ranging from searing leads to lush ambient pads, making it a versatile tool for music producers across genres such as rock, pop, R&B, and hip-hop.

Fred Poirier's passion for the unique tone of this electric guitar shines through in Afterglow. The library was recorded at Tempo Loco Studios in Tours, France, using a combination of D.I. (direct input) and two classic tube amplifiers with a selection of microphones to capture a bright yet deep sound. The microphone setup involves single coil and double coil pickups, delivering the best of both worlds.

Afterglow includes eight different articulations, from short muted notes to evolving 30-second performances, providing a comprehensive palette of expressive guitar sounds. Additionally, there are 15 custom textures created from processed samples of the original recordings, along with three built-in effects and three signal types (Modern, Vintage, D.I.). Dynamic layers vary up to 5 per articulation, enhancing the realism and playability of the instrument.
