- smart:EQ 4 allows you to approach a project from a mix perspective. It offers hierarchical control over multiple tracks and enables you to get spectral mixing done via drag and drop. Unlike traditional equalizers, which process each track independently, smart:EQ 4 considers the context of the entire mix.
- You can easily prioritize elements within the sonic stage by adjusting the smart:filter settings for each track. This means you can bring certain elements to the forefront, leave others in the middle, and push some into the background—all within the same tool.
AI-Powered Equalization with smart:filter:
- The centerpiece of smart:EQ 4 is the smart:filter, which automatically balances the signal based on a target profile you choose for your tracks.
- The smart:filter offers various features:
  - Adjust the Smoothing parameter for gentler filtering.
  - Turn up the Adaptive option to smooth out highly dynamic signals.
  - Define a specific frequency range where the intelligent algorithms should work by splitting the green weighting curve.
- smart:EQ 4’s smart:filter operates in three modes:
  - Track: Balances the channel.
  - Group: Doesn’t affect the channel but reduces masking between it and other group members.
  - Track and Group: Applies balancing to the channel and makes it subject to unmasking.
