David Clayton-Thomas is a Grammy-winning Canadian singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist for Blood, Sweat & Tears. Starting his career in the early 1960s on Toronto’s Yonge Street blues scene, he led local bands including The Shays and The Bossmen before moving to New York and achieving international fame with Blood, Sweat & Tears. His acclaimed song Spinning Wheel has been honored in the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Clayton-Thomas is an inductee of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and has a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.
