Erik Francis Schrody, better known as Everlast or Whitey Ford, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He first gained fame as the frontman of the hip hop group House of Pain. As a solo artist, he broke through with the 1998 album Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, a genre-blending project that earned a Grammy nomination for the hit single What It's Like. Everlast later won a Grammy for his collaboration with Santana on Put Your Lights On in 2000. He was also a member of the hip hop supergroup La Coka Nostra and received an Emmy nomination for his theme to the TV series Saving Grace. Over his career, he has released eight solo albums, mixing hip hop, rock, blues, folk, and Americana, with his latest, Whitey Ford's House of Pain, released in 2018.
