Kamelot is a power metal band from Tampa, Florida, founded by guitarist Thomas Youngblood in 1987. Known for their symphonic and melodic style, the band gained international recognition after Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for the album Siege Perilous, collaborating with Youngblood until 2011. In 2012, Swedish singer Tommy Karevik became Kamelot’s new vocalist, debuting on the album Silverthorn. By May 2025, Kamelot has released thirteen studio albums, blending progressive and symphonic elements, and established themselves as a leading name in the global metal scene.
