Darold Durard Brown Ferguson Jr., professionally known as FERG (formerly A$AP Ferg), is an American rapper from Harlem, New York City, and a prominent member of the hip hop collective ASAP Mob. Signing with Polo Grounds and RCA Records in 2013, FERG rose to fame with his breakthrough single "Work (Remix)," which earned triple platinum status and featured artists like ASAP Rocky and French Montana. His debut album Trap Lord and follow-up Always Strive and Prosper both reached the top ten on the Billboard 200. He achieved further success with singles like "Plain Jane" and "Move Ya Hips" featuring Nicki Minaj, the latter marking his highest chart entry. Outside of music, FERG launched the popular streetwear brand Traplord in 2012 and was recognized as BET Hip Hop Awards’ Rookie of the Year in 2013.
