Randon RGI-14VT-CE elektroakustisk guitar

Randon RGI-14VT-CE — Grand Auditorium Electro-Acoustic with Stage-Ready Electronics

The Randon RGI-14VT-CE is an electro-acoustic guitar in the Grand Auditorium body style with a cutaway, designed for players who want an acoustic voice that adapts to many playing situations. A solid four-piece spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides gives this model a balanced tonal profile: bright trebles from the spruce, warm mids from the mahogany. The cutaway keeps the upper register within easy reach for flatpicking, fingerstyle, and singer-songwriter accompaniment. Built-in Fishman ISY 301 electronics mean the same instrument is ready for live sound or recording sessions without extra gear.

What Sets This Model Apart

What makes this guitar distinctive in its segment is the combination of a four-piece solid spruce top with an integrated Fishman ISY 301 system that includes an onboard tuner, tone controls, phase control, and a low-battery indicator. The acacia fingerboard and bridge add visual warmth against the mahogany neck, while the vintage satin open-pore finish lets the wood breathe acoustically rather than sealing it under a thick gloss coat.

Solid Tonewoods for a Balanced Acoustic Voice

The tonewoods directly shape how the guitar responds to a light touch, how chords ring out, and how single-note lines sustain. The solid spruce top is the primary soundboard, while the mahogany back and sides add warmth and midrange focus.

• Body Shape: Grand Auditorium with cutaway — handles strumming, fingerpicking, and lead playing with equal ease
• Top: Solid four-piece spruce — bright, articulate response with strong note separation
• Back and Sides: Mahogany — warm midrange character that supports the spruce top's clarity
• Finish: Vintage satin open pore — thin finish that lets the top vibrate freely for fuller resonance

Comfortable Neck Profile for Long Playing Sessions

Neck dimensions determine how easily a player forms chords, reaches stretches, and moves up the fretboard. The mahogany neck pairs with an acacia fingerboard, a 43 mm nut width, and a 650 mm scale length — measurements that suit a wide range of hand sizes and playing styles.

• Neck: Mahogany — stable, comfortable neck material
• Fingerboard and Bridge: Acacia — smooth playing surface with a warm visual character
• Nut Width: 43 mm — comfortable width for both fingerstyle and strumming approaches
• Scale Length: 650 mm — standard acoustic scale that delivers familiar string tension and intonation

Fishman ISY 301 Electronics and Stage-Ready Hardware

Onboard electronics and hardware determine how reliably the guitar performs amplified and stays in tune. The Fishman ISY 301 system includes a preamp with tuner, tone and phase controls.

• Pickup System: Fishman ISY 301 — captures the acoustic tone accurately for live and recording use
• Preamp Controls: Volume, tone, phase, and onboard tuner with low-battery indicator — full tonal shaping on stage without external pedals
• Tuning Machines: Diecast, nickel plated — stable tuning across temperature and humidity changes
• Strings: D'Addario EXP 16 — coated strings that hold tone longer between changes

Who Will Feel at Home with This Model

The RGI-14VT-CE is the right choice for intermediate and advancing players who want one guitar that covers home practice, songwriting, open-mic performances, and small-stage gigs. Singer-songwriters benefit from the Grand Auditorium's balanced response alongside vocals, while fingerstyle players gain easy access to the upper frets. The Fishman ISY 301 electronics remove the need for an external preamp or DI box, making this instrument a practical choice for players who perform regularly but do not want to carry a full pedalboard. Studio musicians will appreciate the pickup's clean signal for direct recording.
