Macy Gray, born Natalie Renee McIntyre in 1967, is an acclaimed American R and B and soul singer and actress. Recognized for her unique raspy voice and Billie Holiday-inspired style, she gained worldwide fame with her hit single I Try from her debut album On How Life Is. With over 25 million records sold and a Grammy Award to her name, Gray has also appeared in films such as Training Day and Spider-Man. In 2014, she was inducted into the National Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame in her hometown of Canton, Ohio.
