Glasvegas is a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow, formed by James Allan, Rab Allan, and Paul Donoghue. Swedish drummer Jonna Löfgren joined in 2010 and played with the band until 2020. Glasvegas rose to fame with their self-titled debut album in 2008, which achieved platinum status, reached number two on the UK Albums Chart, and received a Mercury Prize nomination. They followed up with the mini-album A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like a Kiss), recorded in Transylvania. Their second album, Euphoric Heartbreak, came out in 2011, hitting number ten in the UK and number one in Sweden, before the band parted ways with Sony. Later...When the TV Turns to Static was released in 2013 after signing with BMG. In 2021, they returned with their fourth album Godspeed, released independently on their own label Go Wow Records. Glasvegas is known for their atmospheric sound and emotionally charged songwriting.
